Philosophy and spiritual warfare. People might tend to think that philosophy is just philosophy, not really dangerous or perhaps just a neutral activity. I don't agree. Postmodernism, poststructuralism, empiricism, classical foundationalism, rationalism -non of these ideologies are compatible with Christianity. But of course -I do believe in credo ut intelligam. Swinburne being a good example of a man combining faith and reason.
A wise man wrote a paper called "Beware of philosophy". Think of Hume, Kant, Wittgenstein and others -how much confusion this has created for humanity. I do appreciate some of Wittgenstein's remarks, and to some extent what Kant said about the moral law. But basically -philosophy can be confusion -think about transcendental idealism, Berkeley's idealism, or Wittgensteinian philosophy of religion.
It comes down to this: There is only one real Rabbi: Jesus Christ, God's Son and the Logos incarnated. That's why I love the Bible and philosophical theology in the Christian tradition.
I have a Christocentric view of philosophy.
